d is for disco, e is for dancing
the bang gang deejays' 2nd major mix release on modular records, 'd is for disco, e is for dancing'.
i was fortunate enough to design and art direct the project, with three unique illustrations created by an amazingly talented friend of mine, hana shimada.
the concept behind the art was to keep things outlandish, and relevant to the guys' offbeat style. combining hana's bizarre & beautiful illustrations with high-contrast graphic elements, kept a consistancy with the group's already established bold aesthetic.
the project involved designing all regular components of a new release; cd artwork, 12" vinyl sampler, online animations, various posters, minimix sampler, merchandise, sticker sheets and sweat towels.
